Project Bucephalus Robotics is a Wollongong-based group that has many years of experience running robotics activities for children in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, and Sydney area since 2011.

Workshop #1: Introduction to Robotics

  • Date: 11th  – 12th July (Mon-Tues)
  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $140 (Inc. GST)
  • Location: Building X, TAFE Campus (Wollongong)

This our standard beginner course. Students are introduced to LEGO® Robotics, learning the basics of robotics and programming as they build robots capable of reacting to their environment and making simple decisions. The second day of the workshop finishes with the ever-popular “Robot Sumo” challenge and a tournament where all families are welcome. No previous experience is required. While the activity is designed to be suitable for ages 7 and up, we will accept younger students if they are accompanied by an adult. Note: Introduction to Robotics is our recommended course for novice students. BOOK NOW

Workshop #2: Robo-Games

  • Date: 11th  – 12th July (Mon-Tues)
  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $170 (Inc. GST)
  • Location: Building X, TAFE Campus (Wollongong)

Let the Dice Fly! In Robo-Games students will be guided through recreations of classic board and tabletop games, played by humans using robotic pieces. This course is a mix of free-range and guided material. Students will be led through complex programming, and then encouraged to design and build their own versions of provided robot designs. This course is designed for students already familiar with LEGO® Robotics – or novices able to cope with a steep learning curve! While the activity is designed to be suitable for ages 7 and up, we will accept younger students if they are accompanied by an adult. BOOK NOW
