Step into the laboratory of the modern Alchemist. This workshop is designed for older creators who want to dive deep into complex textures and "hidden" art forms. We bridge the gap between science and magic through large-scale sculpture and chemical discovery.

The Creative Journey

We kick off in the Alchemist’s Lab, where makers will brew a trapped "Galaxy in a Jar" using pigment and suspension techniques. Alongside their jars, students will design their own Power Mark Stickers- custom metallic symbols and "secret signs" that represent the hidden strengths of their mythical creations.

The main event is the construction of a Mythical Totem. Using wire armatures and recycled materials, students will engineer a 3D "power animal" or ancient relic, bringing it to life with traditional paper-mache techniques. We’ll finish these sculptures with mixed-media textures, from iridescent foils to foraged organic elements, turning a simple structure into a legendary artefact.

Collaborative Magic: The Master-Maker’s Web

Throughout the session, the studio will be transformed by The Master-Maker’s Web. This is a giant, 3D network of shimmering twine that grows across the room. Whenever a maker finishes a task, they will create a translucent "Power Mark" and tie it into the web. By the end of the workshop, the entire group will have built a glowing, suspended map of secret symbols that connects every creator in the room.

• A Bag for Treasures: To help carry home your Totem and Galaxy Jar safely (the totem may still be slightly damp, so a bag is essential).
