The studio was started by local theatre designer Imogen Ross in 2021, who champions that all children are artists, and that creative play is vital to our emotional and mental well being, no matter what age we are.

GO CREATE ART encourages young artists to explore different art mediums, materials and themes, learning through discovery and experimentation. Being an artist is not about getting the lines perfect nor about drawing things to look like a photo - being an artist is about finding the beauty in the everyday, the mundane, the unusual and the re-created. It is about allowing yourself to play and find your own way.

We Go Create Art Everyday!
Partnering with local ceramics teacher Nina B from MOON CHEESE CERAMICS, Go Create Art studio offers a range of classes after school four days a week, as well as celebration or birthday party options on weekends.

Class ages vary depending on the class - class size is limited to 6-8 participants to ensure the teacher can spend quality time working with each artist. Class times are usually 1 hour and cost $25 with all materials included.

MOON CHEESE CERAMICS offers specialised clay, wild clay, air dry clay and paper clay classes for young artists that enjoy 3D construction. Class creations range from making tableware pottery such as plates and bowls to ornamental and sculptural pieces. Participants explore a range of sculptural possibilities with Nina and learn the wonder of clay. Classes are guided by the students imagination and individual creative exploration, allowing the students to see their ideas materialise into 3d form. Classes are inclusive to all learning styles.

GO CREATE ART offers acrylic/watercolour painting, charcoal/pastel/pencil drawing, textile collage and cardboard construction classes with a philosophical emphasis on upcycling and looking at the natural world for inspiration. Participants also get to look at the work of other artists around the world to build their ideas on and discover different ways of seeing and making.

Located in the old travel agency in Thirroul Plaza, with loads of free parking behind and several public transport options at the front, the GO CREATE ART STUDIO is well placed to walk to after school, be dropped off by parents or to catch a bus/train from a nearby suburb.
