I grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney where my parents were small business trades people. I attended the University of NSW and graduated with a medical degree BSc(Med) MBBS in 1996.

In the past 20 years I have worked mostly in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also have extensive experience in Accident and Emergency Medicine. As part of a broad ongoing education I completed a Master of Strategic Studies (ANU). I have a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Master of Reproductive Medicine (UNSW). I am currently completing a Master of Womens Health.

It’s also been my privilege to serve our country overseas as a Defence Force Reservist. I have a special interest in high risk obstetrics, early pregnancy and genetic conditions. I operate exclusively in the new Wollongong Private Hospital. As my rooms are in the Private Hospital, parking, pathology, ultrasound and pharmacy are all conveniently co-located with the maternity ward, birthing unit and operating theatres.

I provide comprehensive and caring antenatal care in partnership with you. I prefer normal vaginal delivery with interventions only when required. I deliver by caesarean section if necessary and by request after appropriate discussion.

IF an operation is necessary for a gynaecological condition, then it’s in your best interests to have a surgeon with a special interest and expertise who performs that surgical procedure on a regular basis. After a thorough workup, I will offer informed advice on a range of non-surgical and surgical options and the best surgeon for your particular procedure e.g. some surgeons have special expertise in extensive endometriosis or urogynaecology.
