WEDDINGS

Forget Instagram, forget likes, forget shares and comments. Bring yourselves to many tomorrows away from now, when you’re sitting together looking back on this time, this day, that you poured your love into and filled yourselves and everyone around you up with. The joy and celebration of your bond. This is the kind of truth, honesty and imperfection I hope you will find in your photos.

I describe my photography style as ‘documentary’, but what I really mean is that I endeavour to record whatever happens before me, so that you can look back upon an honest account of your wedding day.

I don’t tend to interfere in what you and your partner choose to do, because it’s your wedding and you can do whatever you like with it. I won’t rush people, contrive situations, or move guests around to suit me. I want your photographs to be representative of the reality of your day, as far as possible, albeit from my perspective (since I hold the camera).

If people are talking amongst themselves, singing ‘here comes the bride’, knocking back drinks (/cake), or going bum-over-bosoms on the dance floor, then that is what you will receive in the photographs I deliver. It is the natural interactions that take place on a day of such momentous joy and elation that I am most committed to capturing.

Think of me as the photographer for you when you don’t really want a “wedding photographer”.
