Where Your Health Grows
Botanic Gardens Week 2026 celebrates the health and wellbeing benefits of botanic gardens, recognising the now undeniable truth that nature is medicine.
Botanic gardens are uniquely placed to support health and wellbeing because they provide accessible spaces that promote physical activity, restore mental health, foster social connection, and strengthen our bond with nature – all of which are proven to increase overall wellbeing. A growing body of research shows that spending time in nature measurably improves human health.
Botanic Gardens Week is an annual week of celebration to shed light on the role of plants in our lives and the important work botanic gardens undertake every day to conserve them for future generations. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this special national event.
Now in its 11th year, Botanic Gardens Week is a national celebration highlighting the essential role plants play in our lives and the vital conservation work botanic gardens do every day for future generations.
We hope you’ll drop in, take part, and who knows, you may 'find your inner botanist'.
