Building Blocks Psychology is a neuroaffirming psychology practice located just a short drive from the Illawarra, in the Sutherland Shire. We specialise in assessing and working therapeutically with neurodiversity (like autism, ADHD and learning differences) and various mental health challenges in children, adolescents and young adults.
Our team is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for young individuals to thrive and grow. We offer a range of services, including psychological assessments, therapy, and supports for families.
We currently have short wait times for assessments for children (from preschool age) and young people up to age 25 and under, and provide assessments to help explore possible neurotypes/diagnoses of:
Autism / Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Learning differences (also known as Specific Learning Disorders, or dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia)
Giftedness
Intellectual disability
Global developmental delay
Our assessments are comprehensive and use evidence based tools to support the assessment. They can be used for applications for support such as at school or through the NDIS if eligible. At the end of the process, you will receive a detailed report containing practical recommendations. We can complete parts of the assessment via telehealth, or complete it all in one longer session to reduce travel times for families travelling up from the Illawarra or other regions.
To enquire about the assessment process, please contact 0406943344 or email [email protected]
Due to extending Practice Days & Hours, we currently have a short 2-4 week wait list only, however this is subject to change. We encourage all enquiries to ensure the shortest wait time.
