    Description

To acknowledge and celebrate World Autism Awareness Day on Thursday 2 April, the Early Start Discovery Space is holding a special, limited capacity, after-hours event for children with Autism and/or additional sensory needs.

Children and their adults are invited to pre-book their visit (as ticket numbers are limited), to visit between 2:00pm - 4:30pm.

This event is designed to support children with autism and/or sensory sensitivities and their accompanying adults, with a number of changes to Discovery Space Operations to support visitors during their visit.

    This includes:

    • Significantly reduced capacity limits for this event, so pre-booking your visit is required.
    • Walk-ins may not be accepted if capacity is reached.
    • Some of our Experiences will have elements (e.g. lights and sounds) turned off or limited to reduce sound and sensory input where possible.
    • Audio announcements over loud speakers will not occur at the event (unless in an emergency situation).
    • Group booking requests are not available for this event.

You can see their website to learn more about changes they will make to their operations, access their Discovery Space Social Story, Discovery Space Sensory Map and to book tickets online!
