After School LEGO Club - Science Space

From ziplines to volcanoes, elevators to stop motion film making, LEGO Club is a must for all aspiring LEGO masters aged 7-12! Join us each Tuesday after school (3.45pm - 4.45pm) to learn STEM skills, take part in epic engineering design challenges, make new friends and have lots of fun.

Parents and carers are welcome to stay and participate or can drop off their child and return at pickup time. We will be starting week 2 of Term 3 2025 on Tues 29th July to allow a chance for your child to start to settle into their weekly routine for the new school term.

Tues 29th July - LEGO Zipline Challenge

Explore slopes and gravity in our LEGO zipline challenge. Create a LEGO cable car that can travel down our zipline in the fastest time possible! Are you up for the challenge?

Tues 5th Aug - LEGO Balancing Act

This week we will be exploring the scientific concept of 'balance'! From gravity-defying scales to whimsical see-saws, daring tight rope walkers to mind-bending theme park rides, engineer your imaginative wonders using LEGO and create a world where balance reigns supreme.

Tues 12th Aug - LEGO 3D Design Challenge

Recreate famous scenes from TV shows, movies and events in world history. Use forced perspective techniques and unique LEGO details to bring your 3D scene to life!

Tues 19th Aug - LEGO Volcanoes

Get ready for an explosive adventure as you design and build your own LEGO and Duplo volcanoes! Watch them erupt with bicarb soda and vinegar, then for a super-cool twist- liquid nitrogen!

Tues 26th Aug & 2nd Sept - LEGO Stop Motion Film Making

Over 2 epic weeks you will use classic film making techniques to create your very own prehistoric movie using LEGO and other materials! Bring your stop motion creations to life as we investigate a time when dinosaurs ruled the world.

Tues 9th Sept - LEGO Elevator Challenge

Explore friction and mechanics as we build pulley powered LEGO elevators. How much weight can it hold? How many passengers can you lift up and down?

Tues 16th Sept - LEGO Diving Board Challenge

Build a diving board that can hold the most amount of weight possible!

Tues 23rd Sept - LEGO Waterworks Challenge / End of Term Show & Tell week

From thrilling waterslides to waterwheels, splashpads to meandering rivers, this week we will construct aquatic marvels using LEGO and other materials. The ultimate splash awaits as we put your waterproof creations to the test! We will also have the chance for parents to check out what the kids have been busy working on at LEGO Club with our Term 3 recap video on the big screen.
