Services Offered:
Counselling for children (ages 6 – 11)
I provide compassionate and creative counselling for children, drawing on the latest developments in psychology and use creative techniques that engage children’s imagination.
I work with children experiencing a range of challenges, including low confidence, difficulties controlling emotions, difficulties relating to peers and behavioural problems at home.
Counselling for teens (ages 12 – 18)
I work with teenagers experiencing a variety of challenges that come with navigating their way through teenage life. I use a down to earth and friendly approach to engage teenagers to make a difference in their lives.
Some of the concerns I help teenagers address include, difficulties fitting in to family life, problems relating to peers, stress and anxiety, feeling sad and hopeless, behavioural issues, disordered eating practices, and coming to terms with their sexuality and/or gender.
Counselling for young adults
I work with young adults to help them face the challenges and seize the opportunities that come with moving on from school and entering the adult world.
Relationship dramas, stress and anxiety, sadness and hopelessness, and feeling lost and directionless are just some of the challenges I help young adults work through.
Family therapy
I work with families experiencing difficulties living the kind of life they want to live. I help families to work through a range of problems, such as arguments that never get resolved, difficulties getting children and teenagers to engage in family life, conflict over boundaries and discipline and dealing with mental illness in the family.
Adult counselling
I work with people from all walks of life who are looking to make a positive change in their life. I support people to work through a range of problems, including stress and anxiety, feeling down and depressed, drug and alcohol misuse, disordered eating practices and recovery from trauma.
Some of the benefits of counselling may include:
• Discover new ways of dealing with problems
• Develop better relationships with partners, friends and family
• Build confidence and self acceptance
• Support healing from trauma or stress
