Karitane has been assisting NSW families, with children aged birth – 5 years facing parenting challenges for over 100 years. Our experts can help with:
- Sleep and settling
- Feeding and nutrition
- Establishing routines
- Toddler behaviour
- Struggling with adjusting to parenting (including post-natal depression, anxiety or stress)

Volunteer Family Connect Program
Karitane also runs a Volunteer Family Connect Program in Shellharbour. This program connects trained volunteers with families facing parenting challenges. Our trained volunteers can assist with:
- Helping parents to further develop their skills and confidence
- Helping parents establish routines that work for their family
- Helping parents become aware of services available to them
- Helping parents identify needs or concerns
Enjoying accessing the community - going to a library, the park or even the shopping centre - things that can be overwhelming for some new parents
Karitane's volunteers are trained, experienced and non-judgmental, ready to support you in adjusting to a new baby and connecting you with local services. At home support also available. Karitane's volunteers are trained, experienced and non-judgmental, ready to support you in adjusting to a new baby and connecting you with local services. Volunteers meet families in their homes or in the community and support families as they adapt to being a parent.
