Navy inspired Tapas Bar & Restaurant “The Swallowed Anchor” is Wollongong’s hottest new establishment right in the heart of the CBD. It is the perfect place for a mid-week date or group booking for a night out.

We offer a mixture of traditional and modern tapas with produce sourced from quality, local suppliers. Enjoy a range international and Australian vino with a selection of fan favourite and nautical inspired craft beers.

Owned by a couple of young Navy Veterans, with 24 years service between us, we’ve tried to incorporate a little bit of our Navy life into the bar for you to experience. In Navy slang, to ‘swallow the anchor’ means to retire from the sea and settle down ashore. Check out our latest Tapas menu, sit in the sun with a glass of cold pale ale and listen to some live music, or relax on the lounges with a glass of red.
