The Project Bucephalus Robo Club is a robotics program for children aged 7+. It is suitable for both Primary and High-School age children, and uses LEGO® robotics technology to provide an introduction to robotics!
In Robo Club classes, students learn how to design, build, and program their own robots. Project Bucephalus team members will pass on their skills in teamwork, lateral thinking, and having FUN!
The Robo Club curriculum contains lessons and games designed to develop robotics, engineering, and programming skills. Catering to both beginner and advanced students, activities are mixed between single-week challenges and multi-week projects. The occasional competition is thrown in for good measure (Robot Sumo is a favourite!).
Places are already filling up! Check out our Robo Club page to get a list of open classes and follow the links to register through the TryBooking page. Students can also apply their Creative Kids voucher during registration. To obtain your voucher, or get more information regarding the Creative Kids program, visit service.nsw.gov.au
Project Bucephalus runs the program in Australia and is very keen to share the opportunity! Participation is free if you can get your hands on a LEGO robotics kit. Teams can build a competition robot in about 6 hours, and will compete at Wollongong TAFE on the 25th November. Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more - we're happy to work with schools, families, or community groups!
