With over 20 years of experience in mental health and 14 years as a psychologist, I have developed a particular focus on perinatal, reproductive and medical trauma, complex trauma and EMDR therapy.
I work with adults navigating the impact of trauma across conception, pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss and early parenthood, including fertility treatment, traumatic birth, pregnancy complications, emergency interventions, NICU experiences and other medically complex journeys.
My approach draws on a variety of evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Attachment informed EMDR, Relational Integrative EMDR, EMDR 2.0, Resource Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with treatment tailored each person’s history and goals.
My interest in trauma extends beyond birth and the parent's experience to the impact of frightening early experiences on the infant or young child themselves. I have a special interest in trauma-focused work with infants and young children aged 0–4 years, including dyadic EMDR where clinically appropriate.
Trauma may be part of someone's story, but it is never the whole person.
