    Make the most of the school holidays at Wollongong City Libraries with a line-up of fun, creative, and hands-on activities. From trivia and craft to movies, live shows, and outdoor fun, there’s something to spark curiosity in kids, teens, and families alike.

    How to book

    Events are marked as either bookings required or no bookings required. For those requiring bookings, visit the Wollongong City Libraries website and follow the links on the events page, or call your local library to reserve your place.

    All events are free. Events for all ages:

    Wicked & Wizard of Oz Family Trivia (all ages)

    Are you ready for Wicked: For Good? Test your knowledge of the first movie, the musical, and of course the original book that launched the story. Free, bookings required.

    • Friday 10 October 5.30-7pm at Warrawong Library.

    Miniature clay figurines (ages 12-17)

    Sculpt your own weird, wild, and wonderful clay creature. This workshop is all about creativity, laughs, and making something cool to take home. Free, bookings required.

    Birdfeeder from recycled materials (ages 8+)

    Get crafty and help local wildlife. In this hands-on workshop, create your own birdfeeder using recycled materials. Free, bookings required.

    Learn the basics of backyard chicken care in this practical workshop. We’ll cover housing, feeding, and general wellbeing with live chickens and a variety of eggs on display. Free, bookings required.

    Spring movie (ages 5+)
