ECTARC Warilla Education and Care Service provides early childhood education and care for children aged 0–5 years in a nurturing, inclusive environment in the heart of Warilla.

The 28-place service is located amongst local community services including Kids Cottage, Carunya House and Illawarra Women’s Health Centre.

Childcare for Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers

ECTARC Warilla has two dedicated rooms, providing education and care for children aged 0–3 years and a preschool room for children aged 3–5 years.

Babies are welcomed into a safe and nurturing environment with dedicated sleep areas, age-appropriate play spaces and resources designed to support their development.

Play-Based Early Learning

Children learn through play, exploration and sensory experiences, supported by experienced educators and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Mixed-age outdoor play also gives younger and older children opportunities to play together and allows siblings to spend time together during the day.

Natural Outdoor Play & Learning

Warilla's natural outdoor environment provides plenty of opportunities for children to explore, move and develop their physical skills.

Children can enjoy a great bike track and outdoor spaces for active and sensory play, complemented by bright indoor learning spaces filled with engaging resources.

Experienced Early Childhood Educators

Warilla's highly qualified and experienced educators create a warm and stimulating environment where children feel valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.

The team has a strong understanding of early childhood development and works closely with children and families to support individual needs.

Extra Support for Children & Families

A standout feature of ECTARC Warilla is its trans-disciplinary approach to supporting children's development.

Educators, speech therapists and social workers work together, while an in-house Child and Family Practitioner can meet with parents and observe children to identify ways to strengthen their learning and development.

A child psychologist and early childhood teacher specialising in the Developmental Individual Relationship (DIR) approach and Circle of Security/Attachment Theory also regularly attend the service to support children, families and educators.

Preschool & Transition to School Program

For families looking for preschool and school readiness in Warilla, ECTARC supports children to build confidence, independence, social skills and early literacy and numeracy through play-based learning.

Educators are also skilled in the 3a Abecedarian Approach, with strategies that support children's language development from early childhood through to preschool.

ECTARC Warilla uses Storypark to help families stay connected with their child's learning and experiences.

Parents can see photos, observations and interactions from their child's day and communicate with educators about their learning.
