Parenting Courses/Groups and Courses

The Postnatal Depression/Anxiety Therapy Group is an 8 week program provided by the Perinatal Mental Health Service (part of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Medicare Local).

The group focuses on issues related to Post Natal Depression/Anxiety and recovery, such as emotions, experiences, and strategies for managing and recovering from Post Natal Depression/Anxiety. It is also an opportunity for mothers suffering from PND to meet other mothers with PND in a supportive environment.

The support group is a free service (bulk-billed under medicare) and group therapy is held over 8 weeks with free childcare provided by Big Fat Smile. Newborns are also welcome.

Individual psychological therapy, home visits and antenatal services are also available.
