They specialise in Allstar dance and Cheerleading, making them the go to studio for your child. Using their unique coaching methods, they take beginners and help them achieve things they never thought possible. Their staff are passionate and above all kind and supportive.
NRG’s Lil Shining Stars program has been developed specifically for young children, combining movement and dance with storytelling, imaginative play and plenty of fun. Depending on their age and interests, little ones can explore ballet, jazz, hip hop, cheer and tumbling, while developing coordination, strength, confidence and self-expression.
For active kids who are always climbing, jumping or turning themselves upside down, Monkey Tumble (ages 2–6) introduces foundational acrobatic and tumbling skills including rolls, pre-cartwheels and handstands in a playful, supportive environment.
For school-aged kids and teens who love to dance, NRG offers recreational classes across Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Pom, with options for different ages and abilities. Beginners are welcome, and families can choose anything from one class per week to a fuller timetable depending on their child’s interests.
Recreational dancers also have opportunities to perform in NRG’s Mid Year and End of Year Concerts, giving kids the excitement of performing without needing to join a competitive program.
If your child wants something energetic, social and a little different, NRG’s Recreational Cheer combines stunts, tumbling, jumps and dance in a team environment. Classes are designed to be fun and inclusive, with no previous cheerleading experience required.
Kids learn how to work together, develop safe stunting and lifting techniques and build strength, flexibility and confidence along the way. Recreational cheerleaders also get opportunities to perform at events.
Kids interested in gymnastics-style skills can also add recreational tumbling to their week. Classes work on skills such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers and handsprings, while developing strength and flexibility in a safe environment.
For children who want to take their skills further, NRG also offers Allstar Competition Dance and Competition Cheer. These programs have a strong focus on teamwork, resilience, skill development and performing as part of a team.
NRG puts a strong emphasis on positive coaching, inclusion and creating a supportive environment where kids can progress at their own pace. Beginners are welcomed, coaches are trained in their relevant disciplines, and recreational students can enjoy dance and cheer without the pressure of competition.
It’s also flexible for busy families — children can start with just one class a week, and NRG states that enrolments for its recreational cheer program are accepted throughout the year.
