Dive into discovery with a full day of ocean-themed family fun! Their "Under the Sea" holiday program features brand new science and planetarium shows, free green screen portraits, pop-up holiday activities and more.
Please note: Science Space will be closed on Good Friday - 3rd and Easter Sunday - 5th April 2026.

Their state-of-the-art planetarium, powered by DIGISTAR 6, offers an immersive journey through space. Explore distant galaxies, dive into the ocean depths, or travel back in time. Diver Dave Ocean Adventures: Special Event - Tuesday 8 April & Friday 10 April, 10am - 3.45pm
Join scuba diver and marine educator Diver Dave to explore and touch some amazing sea creatures! Learn about what they eat, where they live and much more in this interactive, hands-on experience. protect and conserve our oceans for years to come.

Got questions about ocean conservation and sustainability? Uncover the mysteries of sharks, starfish, crabs and sea slugs with Marine biologist and shark expert Nathan from The Wildlife Movement!
Meet juvenile bamboo and epaulette sharks and explore crabs, sea snails, slugs, sea anemones and starfish in this interactive rockpool display.
Discover what lurks in a rockpool and learn why it is so important to help protect and conserve our oceans for years to come.

School Holiday Curiosity Days; Calling all budding marine biologists these school holidays!
Join in these school holidays for an action-packed program of non-stop science fun for kids in Yr 1-6! Your child will get a taste of everything UOW Science Space has to offer - think vacation care but with an educational twist. Compete in epic engineering and technology challenges in our STEM Zone, travel through the universe in our planetarium, witness some incredible experiments in our science theatre and explore the pop-up ocean activities in our hands-on exhibitions.

TIMES:
- DROP OFF: Drop off from 8:45am for 30min exhibit explore time (meet at front reception desk)
- PROGRAM: Our activities will officially start at 9:15am
- PICK UP: Between 3:30 - 4:00pm (from STEM Zone upstairs)

Join us for pop up science busking fun at the entrance to our new Energy Futures Zone Spin, bounce, shake, launch and fly as we explore the science of energy in action! Daily, times vary.

The team from Piccolo Me is back with their pop-up kiosk, serving a delicious selection of light meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the school holidays.
