Karitane has a range of parenting support services available in Shellharbour including their Parenting Centre, Volunteer Family Connect Program, Breastfeeding Clinic and support webinars.
Karitanealso runs a Volunteer Family Connect Program in Shellharbour. This program connects trained volunteers with families facing parenting challenges. Our trained volunteers can assist with:
Helping parents to further develop their skills and confidence
Helping parents establish routines that work for their family
Helping parents become aware of services available to them
Helping parents identify needs or concerns
Enjoying accessing the community - going to a library, the park or even the shopping centre - things that can be overwhelming for some new parents
Karitane's volunteers are trained, experienced and non-judgmental, ready to support you in adjusting to a new baby and connecting you with local services. At home support also available. Volunteer your time to support families
Karitane's volunteers are trained, experienced and non-judgmental, ready to support you in adjusting to a new baby and connecting you with local services. Volunteers meet families in their homes or in the community and support families as they adapt to being a parent.
