Karitane is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity offering free, accessible, evidence-based support around the unique challenges of parenting.
Karitane's NEW support program and service for Shellharbour parents
If you're a Shellharbour parent with a child aged 0 - 5 years, Karitane Shellharbour can help you if you're experiencing issues with the following:
Sleep and settlingFeeding and nutritionEstablishing routinesToddler behaviourStruggling with adjusting to parenting (including post-natal depression, anxiety or stress)Karitane's volunteers are trained, experienced and non-judgmental, ready to support you in adjusting to a new baby and connecting you with local services. At home support also available.
The type of support this program provides includes:
- Assisting parents to further develop their skills and confidence
- Helping parents establish routines that work for their family
- Helping parents become aware of services available to them
- Helping parents identify needs or concerns
- Enjoy accessing the community, go to a library, the park or even the shopping centre - things that can be overwhelming for some new parents
