Expert Care for Children with Disability in Wollongong. Holiday / After School / Respite & Home Care

There’s an inclusive, fully-accessible Wollongong Activity Hub offering dedicated care options to school aged kids with a disability. It’s been purpose-built by Client Care First (CCF), a registered NDIS service provider. Client Care First’s Wollongong Disability School Holiday Programs and After School Care is a wonderful extension of their high-quality disability support and care services.

Families with an NDIS Plan are strongly encouraged to enquire about how they can access increased disability support including CCF Before & After School Program, plus their Vacation Programs.

The Client Care First Wollongong Activity Hub is fully inclusive and accessible, The Activity Hub and the Outside School & Vacation Care is designed to enrich the lives of kids living with a disability. Before & After School & Vacation Care Program for Illawarra Children with Disability

Client Care First’s Outside School Hours Care including Vacation Support Programs is designed for children over pre-school age and under 12 with a NDIS plan.

Here is what parents and children can expect from the Outside Hours and Vacation Care School Programs at the Activity Hub:

  • The Activity Hub, specialist care and inclusive programs accommodate a diverse range of abilities and person-centered plans, welcoming children with Autism and other spectrum disorders, physical disability, intellectual disability, high behaviours and complex medical care needs. We are dedicated to ensuring each child can actively engage in activities that suit their interests and needs.  
  • Experienced and Trained Staff: Our team consists of experienced and qualified staff members who have undergone specialised training in supporting children with disabilities. They are committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. 
  • Accessible Facilities: Our facilities are equipped with the necessary resources and modifications to ensure accessibility for all children. We prioritise creating an environment where every child can thrive. 
  • Collaboration with Families: We believe in open communication and collaboration with parents and guardians. We welcome your input and feedback to tailor our services to the unique needs of your child. Person-centered plans are agreed upon with family and key stakeholders.

Client Care First Inclusive Before & After School (plus School Holiday) details:

  • Before school care: 6:00AM – 9:00AM 
  • After school care: 2:30PM – 8:00PM 
  • School holiday program: 9:00AM – 3:00PM  
  • Client Care First provides safe and comfortable transportation for school drop-off and pick-up, as part of before and after school support. 
  • The vehicles are wheelchair accessible and can be regularly scheduled or on an as-need basis.

Client Care First Disability Services for Illawarra Children and Adults living with Disability

The core services that are of benefit to families with a disability include:

  • Accommodation – purpose-built specialist disability accommodation for eligible participants.
  • Community nursing – nursing and clinical nursing in-house and in the community.
  • Supported independent living – support for NDIS participants with higher support needs.
  • Palliative care – palliative care units as an alternative when staying at home is no longer viable. We work with the NSW Health Palliative Care Team to provide in-home care to participants. 
  • Community and in-home care – support for participant personal care, everyday living tasks and taking part in the community.
  • Life stage transition assistance – support for people transitioning to a new way of living, including assistance with life transition planning and life planning.
  • Group outings and centre-based activities – programs targeting various interests in our Activity Hub, including: arts and crafts, music, sport, dance, board games and trivia, cooking, group support including Men’s Club and Kids Club, monthly family support catchups for all family and caregivers, monthly high teas, Sunday roasts and planned day trips – zoos, bowling, music shows and The Royal Easter Show.
  • Centre-based events – the Activity Hub is an inclusive space available for hire to host events, including children’s birthday parties, private functions and community networking events. 
  • Supported group travel and experiences – we provide supported travel experiences suited to personal interests and needs, including group travel (weekend getaways, domestic trips and cruises).
  • Outside school hours care including vacation support for children – before and after school support and school holiday support.
  • Professional training and development for support workers – we provide fully supported training and development for our support workers and sole traders, including complex care needs, manual handling, medications administration and insulin.
