Cringilla HIlls, one of Wollongong’s newest playgrounds completed in 2022. It was designed to be all inclusive, from ‘bumpy’ frog out the front to the outrageous pump track it’s a great time for all. With this Illawarra playground, bike & BMX track, walking trails and picnic spots, pack your bikes, kids and mates for a fun family outing.

Location. Getting There and Parking
Cringilla Hills Playground is conveniently located at 21 Lackawanna Street Cringilla, making it easily accessible by car. There is plenty of parking even on a busy day. This amazing park was named park of the year at the Parks and Leisure Australia NSW Conference Awards 2023.
Playground Features, Equipment & Accessibility
This playground has an awesome book that tells the local Aboriginal Dreaming story of Gudgad the Greedy Frog. There is a braille map of playground.
The playground has accessible swings and slides, water play area, climbing net and obstacle course. It also has a great pump track, BMX track and walking trails nearby.

What Age Kids is it Best for?
This park would be great for most ages between 2-12. Its a nice little park for a birthday party which we have seen many, with it being fully fenced its a big winner!

Does it have Shade, BBQ’s and Toilets? Facilities and Amenities Review
The toilets are close by and this is one of a small few fully fenced playgrounds in the Illawarra, yes! There is a water bubbler and plenty of seating. There is limited shade so we always take a hat and sunscreen!
There are picnic areas with tables and seating, making it an ideal spot for family outings and gatherings.
Bike Track and Cycling.
Cringilla Hills is an amazing choice for kids at all stages of cycling. There’s 12km of mountain bike trails, plus approximately 3.4km of walking trails. The track caters to different ages and abilities and includes a jump park, asphalt pump track and bike skills playground.

Is there a cafe or food options near by?
There is no cafe’s or food options here, the nearest would be Cringilla main street which is a 3 minute drive.
Accessible, Inclusive? Is it good for Neurodiverse / ASD children?
I would have to say a yes to being inclusive, with the nest swing and wheelchair accessible seated see saw, a fun water play area and obstacle course. The surrounding area includes walking trails that allow visitors to explore the natural beauty of Cringila Hills.
