Location. Getting There and Parking
Treetops Adventure Nowra is located at 23 Rock Hill Road, North Nowra, It’s in the same complex as the Shoalhaven Zoo, has plenty of parking and is about an hour’s drive from Wollongong.
Activities, Equipment & Accessibility
There are 2 junior courses and 5 adult courses with different levels of ability and all including zip lines, rope courses and rickety bridges to push your ability. They also do school holiday sessions. They start with harnessing and training so best to get there as little early as possible. There are lockers for your personal belongings. I suggest going to the bathroom on the way in as its a long walk for çhildren to gó back there in a rush if they need to.
It is worth noting that there is also an on-site first aid office.

What Age is it Best for?
There are courses available for all ages from 3 years to adults, but from my experience, it might be more suitable for 4 years up. My 6 year old was nervous but after he took the first leap, he had so much fun and could have stayed there all day! Myself and my hubby had the absolute best time and was a great challenge and we can’t wait to go back and have a climb without the kids!

What My Kids Most LOVED about Treetops Adventure Nowra
My son absolutely was thrilled with himself once he was able to conquer the very first climb -and being able to do that first zipline was a challenge for him but so rewarding – the pride he had was amazing. My 3 year old was happy to just run around on the ground watching her brother!

Engaging for All Ages
Such a fun day out with everyone able to have a great, enjoyable day. We will absolutely be back!
Educational and Fun
Fun, yes 100%, but there weren’t any specific educational programs. The challenge of the courses teaches confidence and agility though! To watch and observe my children tackle an activity outside of their comfort zone and push their own boundaries was fantastic to watch as a parent. Even my son marveled at what he could achieve – and that is an exceptional experience for all children.
As far as an activity that that whole family can do together, I would be hard pressed to think of any other activity that rivals Treetops Adventure Nowra. To be outdoors, along the stunning Shoalhaven River, amongst a canopy of trees and engaging in such a fun activity with my family was very memorable indeed.
Importance of Free Activities & Time in Nature
Outdoor activities play a crucial role in family life, child development, interaction and social skills providing opportunities for children to explore and learn.
